FAQ's
Before the Day
1. Which event am I attending?
Please refer to your invitation — all addresses and times are detailed there for your convenience.
2. When should I arrive?
Day guests: Please arrive at the church with plenty of time, or at the hotel beforehand from 11am.
Evening guests: Please arrive from 7pm.
3. I’m an evening guest and I may arrive a little early — is this okay?
Of course! The hotel is fully operational with bar and restaurant areas for you to relax in.
4. What should I do if I can’t attend?
Please RSVP “No” so we can keep track of numbers.
Guests & Invitations
5. Can I bring a plus one or children?
We would love to have all our friends and family there. Unfortunately, due to venue capacity, only the named invite recipients can RSVP — sadly, this means no plus ones.
Dress Code
6. What is the dress code?
Please dress in anything from cocktail to black tie.
As we are getting married in the glorious British summer, please wear bright, summery colours.
We do not have a theme. Our colours are ivory, champagne, slate grey and charcoal — however, we would love you to dress for a gorgeous summer day!
Travel & Transport
7. Will there be parking?
Yes, there is a free car park at the venue.

8. Is there transport around Whalley on the day?
Uber is available, and the hotel recommends the following taxi firms:
• Tiger Taxis: 01200 444444
• Beez Taxis: 01254 822922
The closest train station is Whalley: Whalley (Lancs) Station | Northern.
Unfortunately, there is no direct bus route to the hotel.
9. Which is the closest airport?
Manchester Airport is the closest, followed by Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
On the Day
10. Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The church ceremony will be indoors.
At Mitton Hall, we have both indoor and outdoor spaces available.
11. Will there be time between the wedding breakfast and the reception?
Yes, there will be a room turnaround around 7pm. During this time, guests can relax in the hotel’s communal areas — and don’t worry, they’re gorgeous!
12. What time will the reception end?
The hotel has a hard 1am policy, with last orders at 12:30am.
Accommodation
13. Is there accommodation at the hotel?
Accommodation has been reserved for the wedding party.
Whalley and Clitheroe have many other options — please check websites such as Airbnb or Booking.com.
Food, Drink & Entertainment
14. Will there be an open bar?
Day guests will be provided with a welcome drink and meal pairings.
There will also be a toast with the cake cutting for all guests.
The bar itself has very reasonable prices.
15. Will there be entertainment?
Yes — there will be a Soul/Motown band in the evening and a DJ.

16. Will there be a gift table?
Yes. There is also a section on our website for donations, and we would love gift cards.
